This course is directed at professionals with previous basic training in wood identification.
The course will last a total of 12 hours (4 of theory and 8 of practical work). A certificate of attendance will be issued.
Objective: characterisation of the selection of about 20 types of wood used in Catalan medieval paintings and sculptures, using a systematic method with microscopic identification keys.
Maximum number of students: 20
Theory class times: Monday afternoon (4 hours), all students
Practical class times: a first group of 10 students on Tuesday afternoon (4 hours) and Thursday afternoon (4 hours); a second group of 10 students on Wednesday afternoon (4 hours) and
Friday afternoon (4 hours)
